This week in BioMed we started to take a dive into the general aspects of our field of interest. We conducted research to establish a stronger foundation of knowledge on our topics. We also did research on Google Scholar. We familiarized ourselves with the program to help with academic research later down the road.
In this week's skills lab, we learned about the application of sterile gloves. We got an understanding of how delicate one must be in a sterile environment. It is interesting how meticulous one must be, even down to where you need to grab the gloves to make sure the environment stays sterile. This lab served as good insight into how hospitals work and their sterile procedures.
