My name is Garrett Dolbear and I attend St. Luke's in the class of 2024. I plan on furthering my education at a college with a strong engineering program. I am the senior class president and the captain of the cross country team. I also serve on the Drug Education Council for Mobile County. In my free time I enjoy surfing, playing the guitar with my band, and riding mountain bikes.

Biomed:
Although I am planning on going into the engineering field I am taking advantage of the opportunity presented to me with the St. Luke’s Biomedical Program. Even though I do not foresee myself in the medical field this program has provided me with opportunities that are seldom found outside of school. I have been able to learn things about the medical field that I will be able to apply when I experience it in the future.
For my final year of the Biomedical Program, I have chosen to study healthcare ethics. This topic will lead me towards the decision-making process of professionals in the medical field. After developing a broad understanding of healthcare ethics I will narrow my studies to the ethics of prescribing stimulant medication such as Adderall or Ritalin.
Take a look at my blogs to see what we have been up to.
